CHEMICAL Paper Presentation

Effervescence, the paper presentation contest invites novel ideas that propose ways to solve problems. In this event, participants are invited to present papers spanning various research topics pertaining to different branches of engineering. The submissions will be judged on the originality, simplicity, clarity of objectives, review of existing literature, methodology, findings and analysis, conclusions, applications and linmitations.

Rules and Regulations:

1.Team size is restricted to maximum of two members from the same college.

2.The paper must be typed single-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman and be no more than 15 pages. Only text directly related to the item being presented and any accompanying illustrations, tables, figures, etc., will count toward the 15-page limit. Title pages, tables of contents, and bibliographies shall not be counted toward the limit.

3.All papers should have a bibliography/works-cited page and appropriate footnotes (any format, such as MLA, APA. etc. as long as its use is consistent throughout the document, will be acceptable). Papers omitting a bibliography or using plagiarized material will be automatically disqualified.

Photographs should be treated as being equivalent to figures, with the caption being placed at the bottom of the photograph. Photocopies of photographs are not acceptable.

4.The contestants are required to send a hard copy of their entry along with an abstract (not more than 100 words).

5.Participants bring two hard copies on the day of presentation.

6.Presentation should be in Powerpoint format.

7.College Identity card has to be produced during registration.

PRESENTATION RULES:
  1. Each team/entrant must formally present his or her paper at the day of the event.
  2. Presentations must be no longer than 10 minutes.
  3. A 5-minute question-and-answer period will follow the presentation of the paper. Questions may be posed by judges and/or students attending the presentation.
  4. Presentations may be accompanied by visual aid.
